Case Study: LIV Membership Renewal Campaign Photoshoot

The Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) is the peak body for the Victorian legal profession and comprises over 20,000 members. We were excited when they approached us to help bring a fresh, human touch to their 2025 membership renewal campaign through photography and video. Let’s take a look behind the scenes. 

The brief 

Our task was to create editorial-style portrait photography that goes beyond the traditional corporate headshot. We set out to capture the individual personalities of members and show them as both professional and approachable. The goal was to visually reflect the identity of the organisation and the people who make it what it is. 

In addition, the brief included production of a 1-minute highlight video featuring real voices from the LIV community. The aim was to give viewers a genuine sense of the connection and community that comes with being part of LIV. 

Editorial-style portrait photography 

By using natural office environments and relaxed yet confident poses, we crafted images that felt authentic, relatable, and were individual to each team member.

Diverse office backgrounds, creative compositions and both natural and professional poses all worked together to achieve the desired outcome: dynamic and engaging portraits that represented the company’s modern, approachable personality. 

Throughout the sessions, we collaborated closely with each team member, reviewing shots on the go, adjusting where needed, and making sure everyone felt comfortable and confident in front of the camera. 

We took a similar approach to filming the video, capturing members’ personalities, natural smiles and voices through behind-the-scenes footage and on-the-spot interviews.

The results 

We professionally edited the best shots of each individual and handed over the final polished images to LIV within four business days of the shoot. We can’t wait for the opportunity to collaborate with LIV again in the future.
